When you are competing against the likes of the Lexus RX you better come to the game ready to play. The new version of the SRX hits the other guys right between the eyes. No longer a wagon-esque version of the CTS, the 2010 SRX stands on its own within the brand while still oozing pure Cadillac—from its tall roofline to its long, flowing hood to its retro-styled fin tail lamps. Where the 2010 SRX scores its biggest gains over its predecessors is what it rides on—a confident, comfortable suspension that tunes down the outgoing model's sporting nature. Unlike many of the SRX's competitors, Cadillac has incorporated most of the functions for the electronic systems of the vehicle into one touchscreen display, which means that the cockpit isn't cluttered with buttons and switches. Gone is the useless third row from the old model that seemed to accommodate only toddlers. A 3.0-liter, direct injection V6 is standard; a 2.8-liter, turbocharged V6 is available optionally. Each is mated to its own six-speed automatic transmission.
