Delta expands cabin space

Delta Air Lines is taking a page out of United Airlines’ book and offering its passengers more legroom on domestic flights.

Delta last October announced that it will add “economy comfort” seats to its jets this year. The seats will provide passengers with 3 more inches of legroom and the ability to board the plane sooner in exchange for an extra $19–$99, depending on the length of the flight. The company expects the updates to be ready by summer.

Delta will remove a row of seats from each of its planes to accommodate the upgrade, which will be available to passengers who sit in the first three to five rows of coach class.
