With Mercury now a memory, Ford Motor wants to expand and distinguish the Lincoln brand by 2014.

Ford last August promised at least six new or modified Lincoln vehicles by 2014, including the addition of a compact crossover SUV that will be based on the Ford Kuga, which is a European model, by 2013.

As far as changes go, the MKZ’s exterior will be restyled to change it from being a Ford Fusion clone; the MKS will get a sleeker design and a new grille to take on a more streamlined appearance; the MKX is tipped for a complete redesign; the MKT will get a new grille and taillights, along with a new interior; and the Navigator also will be overhauled, although Ford didn’t specify when.
