Though the Entourage is the budget-minded entry in the minivan market, it’s anything but a stripped-down model. It might not be as sophisticated or offer as many gadget features as the top players in this segment, but it covers all the basics and comes with a generous 10-year/100,000-mile warranty. It is fitted with a powerful 250-hp 3.8-liter V6 engine and five-speed automatic transmission. Comfort and ride quality is generally good, though the van is not agile through turns. The 60/40-split third-row bench folds easily into the floor, and the middle-row seats flip and fold forward for up to 172 cu. ft. of cargo capacity. Safety features are plentiful and include six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, anti-lock brakes with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and Brake Assist, and active front head restraints to help minimize whiplash injuries. Available amenities include a DVD video system, surround-sound audio system and backup warning alert. The Entourage is mechanically identical to the Kia Sedona.
