2012 Ford Focus Electric charging station available at select dealerships, Best Buy stores

The Ford electric-vehicle home charging station, which is designed for the 2012 Ford Focus Electric, is available now at select Ford dealerships and Best Buy stores.

In January 2011 Best Buy originally announced plans to carry the charging station this fall.

The charging station costs $1,499 and fully charges the battery of a Focus Electric in 3 hours.

The Focus Electric is expected to be available in select cities in late 2011.
