American Airlines first-class fliers can reserve meal before departure
American Airlines’ first-class passengers can select their in-flight meal before they board. The airline announced the new option Oct. 15.
First-class passengers may select a meal upon flight reservation or at AA.com as early as 30 days before the flight departs.
By Nov. 15, 2012, the meal-reservation option will be available on seven routes, but American Airlines plans to extend the program to all of its domestic flights by spring 2013 and to all of its international flights by summer 2013.
Meal reservation is available on two routes: John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), as well as Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and LaGuardia (LGA) in New York.
On Nov. 15, the following routes will be added: JFK and San Francisco International Airport (SFO); Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and LAX; ORD and LGA; and DFW and LAX.
