American Airlines will deliver luggage to you
American Airlines
American Airlines customers who want to skip the baggage-claim area can have their luggage delivered to their home, hotel or office, beginning
Aug. 6.
Customers can go to AA.com to purchase the new baggage-delivery service up to 2 hours before their flight’s departure. The airline will have the luggage delivered 1–4 hours after the plane lands.
The service will cost $29.95 to have one bag delivered, $39.95 to have two bags delivered and $49.95 to have three or more bags delivered. If the baggage service is purchased on the day of the flight, a customer will pay for the service at check-in.
If a delivery location is 41–100 miles away from the airport, you’ll pay an additional $1 per mile for delivery, and the luggage will be delivered within 6 hours.
The service is available at all U.S. airports to which American Airlines flies, except McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas. American Airlines still is coordinating with Las Vegas officials to bring the service to McCarran International Airport, an American Airlines spokesperson says.
