Comair’s final landing will be September 2012

Delta Air Lines will shut down regional carrier Comair on Sept. 29.

Comair has hubs in Boston, Cincinnati, New York, Orlando, Florida and Salt Lake City.

Delta, which made the announcement July 27, 2012, says the elimination of Comair won’t result in any significant changes for Comair customers, because other airline carriers that joined Delta through its Delta Connections program will continue to service Comair’s routes, according to a Delta spokesperson.

Delta wouldn’t indicate which airlines will take Comair’s place in the Delta Connections program.
