U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is conducting an investigation to determine how previously recalled products resurfaced on shelves at discount retail stores.

The products, which include six children’s toys, were recalled in 2010 and 2011 and were displayed for sale at discount retail chains, dollar stores, flea markets and thrift stores through July 2011. Selling recalled products is a violation of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act.

Product distributors issued a nationwide recall notice on March 8 regarding the previously recalled products.
