FTC contest solicits robocall-prevention ideas, offers $50,000 prize

If you hate robocalls (who doesn’t?) and want to win a bunch of money (again, who doesn’t?), Federal Trade Commission has a contest just for you.

FTC will award $50,000 to the person who submits the best idea about how to thwart robocalls, which are the annoying automated phone solicitations that interrupt your meals and family time.

The Robocall Challenge contest will run from Oct. 25, 2012, through Jan. 17, 2013. FTC will announce a winner in April 2013.
