Google has eye on smartphone-streaming eyeglasses by end of 2012
Google plans to introduce a pair of eyeglasses by the end of this year that would stream data from a consumer’s smartphone for real-time viewing, The New York Times reports.
The eyeglasses would have a small screen that’s positioned a few inches from your eyes and would rely on head tilts to scroll through information. The eyeglasses would work only with Android-based operating systems and the glasses could cost $250–$600, the report said.
It’s unknown how the glasses would protect you from getting distracted and, say, from running into someone or something on the street. Maybe Google should create a companion helmet, too.
