Hewlett-Packard today introduced a revamped Pavilion dm1 notebook computer that includes Premier Experience, which is a feature that organizes programs and data to make notebooks easier to use.

The updated Pavilion dm1 includes HP’s Launch Box program, which groups applications directly from the task bar for one-click access without taking up screen space. A streamlined Microsoft Windows start menu also comes standard on the new Pavilion dm1.

This is HP’s first notebook to have HP’s Soft-touch technology, which is an optional rubber coating that makes the device softer to handle.

The Pavilion dm1 also carries HP Beats Audio which is a high-quality audio feature that was developed by HP and Beats by Dr. Dre.

The updated conventional hard-cover Pavilion dm1 that has an AMD processor will be available Sept. 21 and the Pavilion dm1 that has an Intel processor will be available Oct. 30. Both Soft-touch versions will be released later this fall.
