Netflix customers must wait 28 days to add new Warner Bros. releases to queue
In a new deal between Netflix and Warner Bros., customers can add newly released Warner Bros. movies to a queue only after the videodisc has been on sale for 28 days, according to a Los Angeles Times report. The change goes into effect Feb. 1.
The 28-day-queue delay is in addition to a 56-day wait just to rent a Warner Bros. movie.
The move is part of Warner Bros.’ attempt to boost sales of videodiscs and video-on-demand options, which are more profitable to the company, the report says.
