Spirit to raise carry-on-baggage fees to $100 in November 2012

Spirit Airlines customers who don’t reserve their carry-on luggage before they arrive at the gate will pay a fee of $100 per bag beginning in November 2012.
The fee for unreserved carry-on bags will jump to $100 from $45 Nov. 6, 2012, according to the airline’s website. The fee will apply to domestic and international flights.
Additionally, the fee to check in a carry-on bag at an airport counter or kiosk will increase to $50 from $40. A number of other baggage-related fees will increase by $2–$10 Nov. 6.
