T-Mobile introduces Sonic 4G Mobile HotSpot device
T-Mobile is introducing its Sonic 4G Mobile HotSpot device that allows up to five Wi-Fi-enabled devices to access T-Mobile’s network. The device features an SD card slot that can carry up to 32GB of extra memory to allow users to save and share additional photos, videos and documents.
The hotspot device is powered on T-Mobile’s 4G evolved high-speed packet access (HSPA+42), which differs from a long-term evolution (LTE) network but also provides quick data access and download capabilities.
The device will be available in T-Mobile stores and at t-mobile.com in October.
T-Mobile also announced that it will carry the HTC Amaze 4G. The smartphone has digital-camera features that include SmartShot, which can capture and edit up to five photos to create the best image, and PerfectPics, which is a digital-photo gallery that organizes images by event, person and image quality. The HTC Amaze 4G also includes an HD 1080 camcorder feature.
The smartphone is expected to be available in stores Oct. 12 and will be available for presale at t-mobile.com Oct. 10. The smartphone will cost $260 (after a $50 mail-in rebate) with a 2-year agreement and qualifying data plan.
