UL: Battery charger has unauthorized UL marks
Underwriters Laboratories
Underwriters Laboratories notified consumers that unnamed battery chargers that have model numbers 1214S and 1206CC have unauthorized UL marks for the United States and Canada.
UL hasn’t evaluated the battery chargers for proper standards and safety requirements. The manufacturer of the battery charger is unknown. The sale sites and extent of distribution of the charger also haven’t been determined.
UL notified its customers in September 2011 that an unauthorized UL mark appears on EcoWatt 2700K compact florescent lamps (CFL). UL tests the safety of electrical products.
