US Airways warns of email scam
US Airways
US Airways is alerting consumers about fraudulent emails in which scammers claim to be from US Airways.
The airline says any emails that request that a customer provide personal information or change account information should be deleted immediately.
US Airways says that the fraudulent emails have a generic greeting, such as “Dear user” or “Dear customer,” and use an all-numerical confirmation code (US Airways uses alphanumerical or all-letter confirmation codes).
US Airways says it doesn’t ask customers for personal information or to change security-related account settings via email.
