After it pulled the wraps off its newest and smallest sedan, Hyundai Motor says the sedan lineup for its Genesis luxury brand is complete.
The G70 will be Genesis’ third sedan, following the G80 and G90, when it goes on sale in September 2017 in South Korea. It’s expected to arrive in the United States in 2018.
Based on the model that will be released in September 2017 in South Korea, the G70 will slot below the G80, with a length that’s about a foot shorter than that model, at 184.4 inches, and a wheelbase that’s 7 inches shorter, or 111.6 inches. Hyundai says it will announce specifications for the U.S. model later.
Hyundai says the G70 will have two gasoline engine options, a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder model and a 3.3-liter turbocharged V6 model, and a 2.2-liter diesel-powered four-cylinder model. Hyundai didn’t say which, if any, of these engines would be available in the United States.
Hyundai didn’t announce a price, but we expect it to be less than the G80’s base $41,400 MSRP.
