Banner Mountain Sprouts recalls products due to salmonella risk

 

June 27, 2012—Banner Mountain Sprouts recalled certain organic sprouts, because they might be contaminated with salmonella.

The following products are involved in this recall: 4-ounce alfalfa/broccoli sprouts; 4-ounce Zesty Greens (clover and radish); 5-ounce Sprout Salad (adzuki, alfalfa, clover, garbanzo, lentil, peas and radish); alfalfa sprouts in 4-ounce, 1-pound and 2-pound sizes; and clover sprouts in 4-ounce and 2-pound sizes. All products have “sell by” dates from June 17, 2012, through July 6, 2012.

The recalled products were distributed in California. Consumers should discard the recalled sprouts.
