Big Lots recalls swing due to fall hazard

Sept. 27, 2012—Big Lots recalled Wilson & Fisher brand Garden Swing swingset, because the wooden seat can break while in normal use, which would pose a fall hazard to consumers.

This recall involves Wilson & Fisher log-style swingsets that were sold in a natural wood finish. The swing’s two-person bench seat is suspended between two wooden A-frame supports.Item number JY1107 and SKU 210020400 are printed on the product’s assembly instructions.

The recalled product was sold at Big Lots stores nationwide from March 2012 through June 2012. Big Lots received 14 reports of swing seats breaking, which resulted in four reports of back pain and five reports of scrapes. Consumers should stop using the recalled swingset, detach the bench seat and return the swingset to any Big Lots store for a full refund.
