BMW K1200 R, K1200 S motorcycles recalled because brake fluid might foam

Oct. 16, 2012—BMW recalled 2007–2008 K1200 R, K1200 R Sport and K1200 S motorcycles because the brake fluid that’s in the front-brake reservoir might foam. Brake fluid that foams could lead to a reduced braking capability of the front-brake system, which would increase the risk of a crash.

The front-brake fluid reservoir will be retrofitted with a screen insert free. The recall is expected to begin during November 2012.
