Feb. 6, 2012—Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, in cooperation with Bumbleride, recalled Bumbleride Indie strollers and Indie Twin strollers. The front wheel can break at the axle hub, causing the stroller to tip and pose a fall hazard.

The recalled Bumbleride Indie strollers have model numbers I107, I110 and I205 and were manufactured between January 2009 and August 2011. The manufacturing date can be found on a white sticker that’s on the side of the seat frame. The recalled Bumbleride Indie Twin strollers have model numbers IT108, IT111 and IT305 and have a date of manufacture from January 2009 through August 2011. The date of manufacture is printed on a white sticker that’s under the handle.

The products were sold at Buy Buy Baby and other baby-product stores across the United States and Canada, at bumbleride.com, and through other online retailers between January 2009 and January 2012 for $500–$700. Bumbleride received 36 reports of the front wheel cracking, including two reports of the stroller tipping over and causing minor injuries.

Consumers should stop using the recalled strollers and contact Bumbleride to receive a free retrofit kit for the front wheel. For more information, call Bumbleride at 800/530-3930 Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. PT, or go to support.bumbleride.com.
