July 19, 2012—Burlington Coat Factory recalled its Lush Life power strip, because the product has undersized wiring, which poses a risk of shock to consumers. In addition, the wiring and plastic strip fail to meet fire-resistance safety standards, which poses a fire hazard to consumers.
The recalled power strip was sold in four designs (leopard, rose, skull and zebra) and has one of the following model numbers: 12256, 12257, 22563 or 22575.
The recalled product was sold at Burlington Coat Factory, The Container Store and other retail stores from July 2011 through March 2012. No injuries were reported. Consumers should stop using the power strip and return it to the store of purchase for a full refund or store credit.
