Sept. 28, 2012—Cabot recalled its wood cleaner and wood brightener spray pumps, because the pump that’s used for both products can leak. Chemicals that are in these products can cause burning or other serious injuries if the product comes into contact with a consumer’s skin or eyes, or is ingested.

The products were sold in 1.3-gallon white-handle tanks with a black pump assembly and a sprayer hose. The back-panel label lists instructions for use, product information and UPC 080351810503 on the wood-cleaner bottles and UPC 080351810497 on the wood-brightener bottles.

The recalled product was sold at Ace Hardware, Do It Best, Farm & Fleet, Lowes, United Hardware and other hardware stores nationwide from March 2011 until June 2012. Cabot received three reports of a pump leaks. No injuries were reported. Consumers should discontinue use of the products and return them to the store of purchase for a full refund.
