Cool Creations recalls products that contain onions, citing Listeria risk

July 30, 2012—Cool Creations recalled certain products, citing a risk of Listeria monocytogenes from contaminated onions that were recalled by Gills Onions. Listeria is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in individuals who have weakened immune systems.

The recalled products are as follows: Asparagus Medley Mixer (10 ounces) that has UPC 815970011440; Bean Dip Bowl (10 ounces) that has UPC 815970011198; Bean Dip Bowl (20 ounces) that has UPC 815970010368; Bean Dip Platter (45 ounces) that has UPC 815970010375; Bean Dip Tray (20 ounces) that has UPC 815970011648; Beef Stew Kit (32 ounces) that has UPC 815970011150; Diced Yellow Onion (5 ounces) that has UPC 815970010153; Diced Yellow Onion (10 ounces) that has UPC 815970011082; Fajita Mix Griller (10 ounces) that has UPC 815970011341; Fiesta Salsa Bean Corn (16 ounces) that has UPC 829595000055; Fiesta Salsa Garlic (16 ounces) that has UPC 829595000062; Fiesta Salsa Hot (16 ounces) that has UPC 829595000048; Fiesta Salsa Mild (16 ounces) that has UPC 829595000017; Fiesta Salsa Pineapple (16 ounces) that has UPC 829595000079; Kabob Kit (24 ounces) that has UPC 815970011792; Pico de Gallo (8 ounces) that has UPC 815970010252; Pico de Gallo (16 ounces) that has UPC 815970011013; Potato & Mushroom Griller (12 ounces) that has UPC 815970011334; Squash Medley Griller (12 ounces) that has UPC 815970011389; and Vegetable Medley Griller (20 ounces) that has UPC 815970011259. All of the recalled products were branded as Cool Creations or Fiesta Garden Fresh Salsa.

The recalled products were distributed to retailers in Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma. No illnesses were reported. Consumers should discard the recalled products.
