Del Monte recalls mango product due to salmonella risk

Sept. 21, 2012—Del Monte Fresh Produce recalled its fresh-cut mango bowl, because the product might be contaminated with salmonella.

The recalled product is packaged in a 32-ounce clear plastic bowl that has UPC 762357075321, lot code 03256100 or 05252101 and a “best by” date of Sept. 18, 2012, or Sept. 22, 2012.

The recalled product was distributed to retailers in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee and Washington. No illnesses were reported. Consumers shouldn’t consume the product and should discard it.
