Dutchmen recalls Breckenridge travel trailers because of possible gas leak
Aug. 9, 2012—Dutchmen recalled model-year 2010–2013 Breckenridge-brand travel trailers that were manufactured from May 26, 2009, through May 2, 2012, and are equipped with Atwood Mobile Products furnaces. The furnaces were produced with a defective gas-control valve which can stick in the open position. If the gas valve remains open, gas could leak and, in the presence of an ignition source, result in a fire.
The travel trailer models that are involved in this recall are: Bayridge, Breckenlodge, Breckenridge, Classic Breeze, Fine Life Cottage, Perfect Cottage and Xtendable.
Dutchmen will notify owners, and dealers will repair the furnaces free.
Owners may call Breckenridge’s warranty-service department at 800/223-2376. Owners also may call National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Vehicle Safety Hotline at 888/327-4236 or go to safercar.gov.
