Dutchmen recalls RV models because of possible propane leak
Aug. 7, 2012—Dutchmen Manufacturing has recalled model-year 2013 Coleman 192, and Dutchmen 196 RVs that were manufactured from April 12, 2012, through July 9, 2012. These RVs were manufactured with the propane line in close proximity to the rear-axle hanger, which could be damaged by the rear-axle-hanger bolt during travel. If this occurs, a leak could develop, and in the presence of an ignition source could result in a fire or explosion.
Dutchmen will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and, as necessary, replace and re-route the propane line free.
Owners may call Dutchmen at 574/537-0700. Owners also may call National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Vehicle Safety Hotline at 888/327-4236 or go to safercar.gov.
