Family Dollar recalls decorative light set due to overheating

July 12, 2012—Family Dollar recalled its decorative light set, because the product doesn’t meet industry standards and poses an overheating hazard.
The recalled decorative light set has “200 Mini Lights” and “Multi Lights, Green Wire” printed on the packaging. The SKU 2211428 and UPC 049696720465 are printed on the back of the product’s packaging. Model number F0L200A4S is printed on a label that’s attached to the product’s power chord.
The recalled product was sold at Family Dollar stores from September 2011 through December 2011. The company received three reports of the product overheating. Consumers should stop using the light set and return it to a Family Dollar store for a full refund.
