Forest River recalls motor homes because of possible damaged fuel line

Forest River recalled 2010–2013 Forester (2861, 3121 and 3171), Lexington (283) and Sunseeker (2860, 3120 and 3170) motor homes that were manufactured from Aug. 18, 2009, through Sept. 12, 2012. The liquid propane gas (LPG) fuel line that supplies fuel to appliances that are in the slide out can become damaged. A damaged LPG fuel line can lead to an explosion or a fire, which would increase the risk of injury.

Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will repair the affected vehicles free. The recall is expected to begin during October 2012.

Owners may call Forest River at 574/825-8717. Owners also may call National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Vehicle Safety Hotline at 888/327-4236 or go to safercar.gov.
