General Mills recalls granola bars due to unlisted allergen

Sept. 28, 2012—General Mills recalled Almond Nature Valley Sweet & Salty nut granola bars, because the product might contain peanut, which isn’t listed on the ingredient label. Consumers who are allergic to peanuts might have a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.
The recalled product was packaged in a six-count box that has the “better if used by” date of Feb. 26, 2013, printed on the top.
The recalled product was distributed to grocery stores and retailers nationwide. No illnesses were reported. Consumers should contact General Mills to obtain a replacement product or a full refund.
