Green Toys recalls toy cars due to choking hazard
Aug. 1, 2012—Green Toys recalled its Mini Vehicles toy cars, because the wheels and hubcaps can detach, which would pose a choking hazard to children.
The recalled models are: Mini Ambulance (MAMW-1015); Mini Fastback Set (MVFA-1022); Mini Police Car (MPCB-1020); Mini Red Fastback (MFBR-1018); Mini Taxi (MTXY-1021); Mini Vehicle Assortment (MVSA-1016) and Mini Vehicle Set (MVHA-1014). For the Mini Vehicle and Fastback sets, the model numbers can be found on the bottom of the toys’ packaging. For all other cars, a label that lists the model number can be found on the bottom of the toy car.
The recalled products were sold at grocery stores, independent toy and specialty stores, mass merchandisers and by online retailers from March 2012 through June 2012. Green Toys received 10 reports of wheels and hubcaps detaching or loosening from the vehicles. No injuries were reported. Consumers should take the product away from children and contact Green Toys to receive a full refund.
