Hazard-warning lights might fail on 2017–2018 Triumph Street Cup motorcycles

July 28, 2017—Triumph Motorcycles America recalled 2017–2018 Triumph Street Cup motorcycles.

In the affected motorcycles, the wiring harness for the hazard-warning lights might be pulled and strained while the motorcycle is steered normally. As a result, the wires might be pulled loose from the connector, and the hazard-warning lights might fail. This decreases visibility when hazard-warning lights are required, which increases the risk of a crash.

Triumph Motorcycles America will notify owners, and dealers will extend the wiring length by installing a supplemental harness for free. The recall was expected to begin July 2017.
