Sept. 18, 2012—H&M recalled its water bottle for children, because the bottle’s spout can break off, which poses a choking hazard to children.

The recalled product is a 16-ounce water bottle that was sold in blue or pink and has “H&M Sweden” and “www.hm.com” embossed on the bottom.

The recalled product was sold at H&M stores nationwide from July 2012 through August 2012. H&M received a report of an incident in which the bottle’s spout broke off in a child’s mouth as the child was drinking from the bottle. No injuries were reported. Consumers should stop using the bottle and return it to an H&M store for a full refund.
