Honda recalls Element because turn-signal lamp might malfunction
Sept. 13, 2012—Honda recalled 2007–2011 Element vehicles that are equipped with an accessory trailer-hitch wiring harness. The wire that supplies power to the trailer turn-signal lights was switched with the stop-lamp wire. Without trailer turn-signal illumination, the driver’s intent isn’t communicated, which could increase the risk of a crash.
Honda will notify owners, and dealers will repair the wiring free. The safety recall is expected to begin Sept. 20, 2012.
