Imagine Nation Books cites overheating in recall of spinning-lights toy
Imagine Nation Books
Nov. 1, 2012—Imagine Nation Books recalled its Double Dazzler Light Show toy, because the battery that’s in the toy can overheat and pose a burn hazard.
The recalled product is a 10-1/2-inch silver-color plastic batonlike toy that has white plastic tubes at each end that become multicolor spinning lights when the toy is switched on. The toy’s battery pack is located at the center. The product’s package states “DOUBLE DAZZLER LIGHT SHOW” and “Color Changing LEDs/Ages 8+/Batteries Included.”
The recalled product was sold by Imagine Nation Books dealers and at corporate offices, hospitals and schools nationwide from March 2012 through September 2012. The company received five reports of the product overheating. No injuries were reported. Consumers should take the recalled toy away from children and contact Imagine Nation Books for a refund.
