Jayco recalls Eagle Premier Fifth Wheel RV models because label is wrong

Oct. 23, 2012—Jayco recalled 2013 Eagle Premier Fifth Wheel RVs that were manufactured from June 14, 2012, through Aug. 10, 2012. The gross vehicle weight rating and the cargo-carrying-specification information is incorrect on the vehicles’ federal certification label and the tire-information label. Incorrect weight information might lead to overloading, which might cause axle or tire failure and increase the risk of a crash.

Jayco will notify owners and provide corrected labels free. The safety recall is expected to begin during November 2012.

Owners may call Jayco at 574/825-0608. Owners also may call National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Vehicle Safety Hotline at 888/327-4236 or go to safercar.gov.
