Kickboard USA recalls scooter due to laceration hazard
Aug. 21, 2012—Kickboard USA recalled its Mini Micro scooter for children, because the plastic platform that covers the front wheel base can break, which would pose a laceration hazard to children.
The recalled scooter was sold in: Aqua (blue-green), blue, orange and pink. “Micro” is printed in black-and-blue letters on the metal handlebar and is imprinted on the hand grips. “Mini Micro” is printed on the front plastic cover. The model and serial number that are part of this recalled are as follows: model number MM0079 that has serial numbers 00061617–00064364 and 00064767–00065762; model number MM0080 that has serial numbers 00066371–00666401 and 00097291–00098286; model number MM0109 that has serial numbers 00093571–00093870; and model number MM0113 that has serial numbers 00067871–00068370.
The recalled product was sold at independent toy stores and at amazon.com and kickboardusa.com from May 2012 through July 2012. No injuries were reported. Children should stop using the scooter. Consumers should contact Kickboard USA for a free replacement.
