Feb. 2, 2012—Konica Minolta recalled four models of desktop printers, because the printers can short-circuit and overheat during use, posing a fire hazard.

This recall involves four models of laser color printers: Bizhub C35, Bizhub C35P, Magicolor 3730DN and Magicolor 4750DN.

Model numbers are on the plate that’s attached to the side of the printer and on the bottom of the front door. The printers are dark gray or light gray and have “Konica Minolta” printed on the top of the front door.

The products were sold to authorized Konica Minolta dealers, retailers and resellers from June 2010 through March 2011 for $900–$3,500.

Consumers who bought Magicolor 3730DN and 4750DN should stop using the printers immediately and contact Konica Minolta to schedule a free replacement. An authorized service agent will contact owners of Bizhub C35 and C35P for repair and replacement of the faulty component.

For more information, contact Konica Minolta at 800/825-5664 Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. ET, or go to kmbs.konicaminolta.us.
