Lowe’s recalls patio set due to fall hazard

Aug. 3, 2012—Lowe’s recalled its Bistro patio table-and-chair set, because when the chair’s support bar isn’t engaged fully, the chair can pose a fall hazard to consumers.

The recalled patio set consists of a table and two chairs. Model number S65801, item number 0355053 and “Garden Treasures” are printed on the cover of the  instruction manual.

The recalled product was sold at Lowe’s stores nationwide from August 2011 through February 2012. Lowe’s received 13 reports of consumers who fell from partially opened chairs that resulted in back injuries, contusions and scrapes. Consumers should stop using the recalled chairs and should contact the product’s manufacturer, Midas Lin, for a new set of warning labels and supplemental instructions for the chairs.
