Newmar recalls Grand Star motor homes because of brake problems

Aug. 10, 2012—Newmar recalled model-year 2008–2009 Grand Star Class A motor homes that were manufactured from Jan. 25, 2007, through May 22, 2009, and were built on the Freightliner Custom Chassis line. These motor homes were are equipped with Bosch hydraulic disc brakes, and when the motor homes aren’t driven for long periods of time, they might produce reduced brake performance because of brake drag or overheating. Reduced brake performance increases the risk of a crash.

Daimler Trucks or Freightliner will notify owners, and repairs will be performed by authorized Freightliner dealers free.
