Old Navy recalls Aqua Socks because of decreased traction
Old Navy
July 12, 2012—Old Navy recalled its toddler Aqua Socks for girls, because the product has less traction when it’s worn on wet or smooth surfaces, which poses a slip and fall hazard to children.
The recalled footwear was sold in toddler sizes 5–11 in pink and purple. A tag that’s inside of the foot opening lists style number 896452.
The recalled product was sold at Old Navy stores nationwide and at oldnavy.com from February 2012 through June 2012. The company received two reports of falls that included minor injuries. Consumers should stop using the footwear and return it to any Old Navy store for a full refund. Consumers who return the product before Nov. 9, 2012, also will receive a coupon for $10 off their next purchase at Old Navy.
For more information, call Old Navy at 866/580-9930 Monday–Friday 9:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m., Saturday noon–7:00 p.m. or Sunday noon–6:00 p.m. ET, or email custserv@oldnavy.com.
