Pure Hothouse Foods recalls grilling trays due to Listeria risk
Aug. 20, 2012—Pure Hothouse Foods recalled Meijer-brand trays of fresh cut food for grilling, because the products might contain mushrooms that are contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Listeria can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in individuals who have weakened immune systems.
The following items are involved in this recall: Grillers Asparagus Blend (UPC 708820853539); Grillers Mushroom with Rosemary (UPC 708820854642); and Grillers Steak Topper (UPC 708820854680). All have a “use by” date of Aug. 11, 2012, through Aug. 26, 2012.
The recalled products were distributed in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio. Consumers should discard the recalled products and contact Pure Hothouse Foods for a refund.
