Oct. 23, 2012—Honda Motor recalled 2012 CR-V vehicles that were manufactured from Aug. 30, 2012, through Aug. 31, 2012, and are equipped with the LX trim level. Incorrect values were printed on the safety certification label for the gross vehicle weight rating, the gross axle weight rating front and rear, the tire size, and the rim size. A misprinted label could lead to improper vehicle loading. Improper loading could result in a tire failure, which would increase the risk of a crash.

Honda will notify owners, and dealers will apply the corrected label free. The recall is expected to begin Nov. 6, 2012.
