June 27, 2012—Samuel Lawrence Furniture recalled its queen-and king-size Bordeaux Collection bed frames, because the hardware that holds the footboard and the headboard can loosen or detach, which would pose a fall hazard to consumers.

The model numbers that are involved in this recall are 8070-252 and 8070-253 for the queen-size model and 8070-272 and 8070-273 for the king-size model. The model number is printed on a white label that’s located on the back of the footboard and headboard.

The recalled products were sold at furniture stores nationwide from August 2009 through April 2012. The company received one report of a man who injured his foot when the bed’s footboard detached. Consumers should stop using the recalled bed frames and contact the Samuel Lawrence Furniture to obtain a free repair kit.
