Suzuki recalls certain 2012 model motorcycles because of faulty brake light
Feb. 15, 2012—Suzuki Motor recalled certain 2012 AN400 and AN650 Burgman scooters and 2012 DL650 V-Strom motorcycles because the brake-light switches on the handlebar-mounted brake levers might fail.
The recalled models were manufactured before Dec. 17, 2011.
On the AN400 and AN650 scooters, a failed switch will prevent the scooters from starting. On the other affected models, failure of the brake-light switch will prevent the brake lights from illuminating when the vehicle is braking.
Suzuki will notify owners, and distributors will replace the brake-light switch free. The recall is expected to begin in February 2012. Owners may contact Suzuki at 714/996-7040.
