Tanimura and Antle recalls romaine lettuce because of possible E. coli contamination
Aug. 20, 2012—Tanimura and Antle recalled one lot of romaine lettuce, because it might be contaminated with E. coli bacteria.
The recalled lettuce was packaged in plastic bags that have UPC 027918203149 and a “best by” date of Aug. 19, 2012.
The recalled product was distributed to retail stores in the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Nevada, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Washington. No illnesses were reported. Consumers should contact the company for replacement coupons.
