Vogue Tyre recalls tires because they don’t meet federal standards
Aug. 24, 2012—Vogue Tyre & Rubber recalled certain tires that were manufactured from Jan. 1, 2012, through Aug. 11, 2012, because they fail to meet federal safety standards. The tires don’t have the full tire identification number (TIN) branded onto the tire’s outboard sidewall. In the event of a safety recall, tires that lack a TIN on the outboard sidewall can’t be identified readily.
The tires that are included in this recall are Custom Built tires in size 225/50R17 and Signature V tires in sizes 225/50R17, 235/50R18 and 245/45R18.
Vogue Tyre will notify owners, and dealers will replace the recalled tires free.
Owners may call Vogue Tyre at 800/323-1466. Owners also may call National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Vehicle Safety Hotline at 888/327-4236 or go to safercar.gov.
