Volkswagen recalls Tiguan because fuse circuit might melt

Email to a Friend

Volkswagen recalled 2009–2011 Tiguan vehicles that were manufactured from July 2007 through June 2011. A problem with the fuse for the exterior lights might cause the holder for the fuse circuit to melt.

If the holder melts, the vehicle’s exterior lights might fail.. Reduced vehicle illumination diminishes the vehicle’s visibility and increases the risk of a crash.

Volkswagen will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuse free. The recall is expected to begin during December 2013.
