Wegmans recalls gluten-free baking products due to unlisted soy
Nov. 1, 2012—Wegmans Food Markets recalled certain gluten-free baking products, because these products might contain soy, which isn’t listed on the ingredient label. Consumers who are allergic to soy might have a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
The recalled products are Wegmans Food You Feel Good About All Purpose Baking Mix (16 ounces) that has UPC 7789030341, Wegmans Food You Feel Good About Honey Cornbread Mix (16 ounces) that has UPC 7789030343 and Wegmans Gluten-Free Chocolate Cake Mix (15.3 ounces) that has UPC 778902833. All product date codes are affected.
The recalled products were sold at Wegmans stores in Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia from May 2012 through September 2012. No illnesses were reported. Consumers should return the recalled products to a Wegmans service desk for a full refund.
